2. What Data We Collect
2.1 Website Visitors
- Analytics data: Pages viewed, time on site, referral source, device type, and approximate location (city level). Collected via the Meta Pixel for advertising measurement.
- No account registration: We do not require sign-ups, logins, or personal information to use our website.
2.2 Facebook and Instagram
We use the Meta (Facebook) Marketing API and Pages API to:
- Publish content to our Facebook Page
- Create and manage advertising campaigns
- Measure ad performance (impressions, clicks, cost)
- Track website conversions from ads (via Meta Pixel)
We access aggregated, anonymised advertising metrics only. We do not collect, store, or process individual Facebook user profiles, friend lists, messages, or personal data from Facebook users.
2.3 Property Data
We collect publicly available property listing data (addresses, prices, features) from public sources to power our market analysis and valuation tools. This is public real estate data, not personal data.
3. How We Use Data
- Advertising measurement: To understand which ads and content drive website visits, so we can produce more relevant property intelligence.
- Content distribution: To publish property analysis articles and market updates to our Facebook Page audience.
- Ad management: To create, pause, and optimise Facebook ad campaigns promoting our published articles.
- Website improvement: To understand which pages and features are most useful to visitors.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties. Data flows only between:
- Our website (fieldsestate.com.au, hosted on Netlify)
- Meta (Facebook) for advertising via their official APIs
- Azure (Microsoft) for our database infrastructure
All third-party services are governed by their own privacy policies.
5. Data Retention
- Ad performance data: Retained for up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Website analytics: Governed by Meta's data retention policies for Pixel data.
- Property data: Retained as long as it is relevant for market analysis. Sold property data is retained for historical comparisons.
6. Your Rights
Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and Meta's Platform Terms, you have the right to:
- Access: Request what data (if any) we hold about you.
- Deletion: Request deletion of any data we hold about you. You can also request data deletion directly through Facebook (Settings → Apps and Websites → Fields Estate → Remove).
- Opt out: You can opt out of Meta Pixel tracking by adjusting your Facebook ad preferences or using browser-based ad blockers.
7. Data Deletion
To request deletion of your data:
- Email: Contact will@fieldsestate.com.au with the subject "Data Deletion Request".
- Facebook: Remove our app via Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites. This triggers an automatic data deletion request which we process within 30 days.

8. Cookies
Our website uses the Meta Pixel, which sets cookies to measure advertising effectiveness. No other third-party tracking cookies are used. You can control cookies via your browser settings.
9. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed at individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date below indicates the last revision. Continued use of our website or Facebook Page constitutes acceptance of any changes.
